Fly
Geyser, Nevada
Fly Geysers are one of the manmade miracleson earth. They are small geothermal geysers located in Nevada’s Washoe County,
about 32 kilometres north of Gerlach. The surprising fact is that still number
of people of the county is not aware of existence of this site. The geysers
spew water about a height of 5 meters. They are a result of well drilled by men
in early 1900. The geothermal water started rising from the cracks of the well
and up to the surface of ground. All efforts were made by workers to cap these
natural geysers, but all their efforts went in vain. Today these well are known
as Fly Geysers.
Mendenhall
Ice Caves, Juneau, Alaska
This Glacier ageing more than 3000 years
are a popular site of visit in Alaska. The glacier is 13 mile long have
Mendenhall Valley and Mendenhall lake situated 12 miles away from city of
Juneau. The most scenic view of it comes, when it is viewed from underneath the
glacier. It seems as you are in fairy land. Due to global warming Glacier area
is shrinking very rapidly. About 2 miles of its area has been receded since
1958. The visit to caves is at one’s own risk, as they are continuously shifting,
growing, melting or collapsing. The risk involved is from minor injury to
death. Since the collapse of entrance of these caves in 2014, adventure visit
of caves has been stopped by most of the tour operators.
Lake
Hillier, Australia
The “Bubble gum Lake” or Hillier Lake of
Australia is a pink colours lake on Middle Island. It was discovered by a
British explorer Matthew Flinders in 1802. Ariel view of it gives a glimpse of
a solid pink bubble gum. It is spread in a span of 600 meters with a rim shaped
boundary of sand and surrounded by lush green heavy forest of paperbark and
eucalyptus trees. It is fenced by sand dunes and green vegetation separating it
from Southern Ocean.
The pink colour of lake is not a trick
but still a sure answer is not available behind this colour. Some researchers says it is due to Dunaliella
salina and Halobacteria named organisms, creating a coloured dye. The other
conception says its due to salt crusts of lake containing red halophilic
bacteria.
Zhangye
Danxia Landform, China
This amazing eye catching view of this
area seems as it an Oil Painting of unbelievable colours of nature. This
landscape has number of red cliffs, several meters in height. It is spread over
an area of 322 square kilometres.
These landscapes are result of red
sandstone erosion. The geological appearance comes due to multilayers of
oceanic crusts, deposition over a period of 24 million years. The wind, rain
and time has carved them into amazing shapes, towers, pillars, ravines and coloured
them in various shades and patterns.

Red
Beach, Panjin, China
The city of Panjin in China is famous
for its Red beach. It is located in Liaohe River Delta, 30 kilometers away from
Panjin towards southwest. It is among the world's naturally grown marvels.
The amzing red colour of the beach is
the result of a special type of sea weed called Sueda. It grows in the saline
and alkali soil of the area. The weed remains green during the summer and grows
in the month of April or May. As the Autumn comes the real miracle takes place
when this weed turns into flaming red, giving a glimpse of red carpet of
nature. Major part of this beach is preserved by government and is not open to
public. It is world’s largest and most complicated ecosystem, and is a home to
more than 260 species of birds and 399 species of animal. Only a small part is
open for tourists. It is really a place in the world which one would hardly believe
exists.
